The 200-page, bilingual (Hebrew/English) catalog contains a detailed discussion of 140 inscribed seals from the Reuben and Edith Hecht Museum Collection at the University of Haifa. Three renowned scholars joined forces to study and publish the museum's collection of seals: the late Prof. Nahman Avigad of The Hebrew University, Prof. Michael Heltzer of the University of Haifa, and Prof. André Lemaire of the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris. The detailed discussion illuminates various aspects in the study of the Land of Israel and neighboring countries, such as the development of script, language, the store of names, administration, society, religion, and art.
